Weather

There are 330 days of sunshine each and every year.Marbella has a microclimates protected from the winds of the Straits of Gibralter, unlike Fungarola or Estepona only 10 miles either side. You have to fly for 4 ½ hours to get a better climate in anything like a sophisticated location. Temperatures are regularly in the 90’s in the height of summer. May, June, September and October tend to be in the 80’s, 70’s in March, April and November and low 60’s in the depth of winter. Rain falls more in the winter but you will never be there for a week without seeing the sun. Can you say that in August in England?

Things to do

There are more golf courses concentrated here than anywhere else in Europe.

There is the glamorous side of Porta Banus and then Marbella old town. You can go to Portugal and back in a day. Go skiing in the Sierra Nevada mountains in 2 hours. Be in Gibralter in an hour, or take a day trip to Morocco. The area is rich in Moorish influences with the fortress towns of Ronda and beautiful Granada close at hand.

There are stunning white villages such as Mijas and Caseres set into the surrounding mountains.

You can learn to sail, fish, dive and windsurf. There are plenty of theme parks and facilities for children. If it can be done, it can be done here!

There is arguably the best and most diverse nightlife in Euope.
